Permanentie — waarom dit meer kost: Dit is een "removal"-krediet (verwijderingskrediet) — het haalt daadwerkelijk koolstof uit de lucht en legt die eeuwenlang vast, in plaats van alleen toekomstige uitstoot te voorkomen zoals een "avoidance"-krediet (vermijdingskrediet, zoals het cookstove-project hieronder) doet.
